Turf and snow at Saltex
Broadwood International will be displaying five ranges of turf, snow and amenity equipment at Saltex 2012. The current harsh economic climate has seen councils forced to reduce their mowing frequency. This has resulted in the requirement for grass cutting equipment to withstand more demanding applications and longer grass. The Wessex ProLine range boasts six models including a new Wessex ProLine 480 hydraulically folding roller mower which can be seen at the show. The machine is available as 3 point linkage mounted or trailed on the popular ProGlider chassis and is ideal for councils, contractors, airfields, race tracks and other large amenity areas.
The Wessex display will also include the ProLineTGX out-front flail mower and the Wessex Country range with a new log splitter and snow blade. In the SnowEx range two new salt spreaders will be on show. The new SnowEx drop spreader is ideal for treating pavements and sidewalks and other restricted areas. There are two capacities equipped with a unique flow control system, offering ‘gate-free’ controlled material dispersal. Using brine solutions for winter maintenance, rather than salt/grit spreading is an increasingly popular practice.
The SnowEx VSS 1000 brine spray system offers versatility and caters for all demands for spraying de-icing material. The V-Pro and V-Maxx can also be seen. These are high capacity machines designed specifically for larger pick-ups and flatbed trucks. A number of other pedestrian brine and drop spreaders will also be on show. Three new products feature in the BroomEx range of pedestrian power brooms and the TurfEx equipment will include the Spread ‘n’ Spray lightweight, compact, spreader sprayer.
