Bunce (Ashbury) Ltd were the first company in the UK to manufacture snowploughs for the front of lorries and trucks and we have been manufacturing snow ploughs and selling spreaders for the treatment of icy roads since the 1920’s. We were pioneers in the development of snow and ice removal products and we have stayed at the vanguard of development of these products ever since. We sell quality, durable products designed for the rigors of snow clearing.

The Bunce Epoke salt spreaders and gritters are available in sizes from 50 litres to 9 m³. The small salt spreaders are pushed, pedestrian operated units and the larger ones can be towed, three point linkage mounted onto tractors, or trailer and vehicle mounted. Most of the small salt spreaders are ‘drop spreaders’ and the larger ones have hydraulically driven spinners. Most of the salt spreaders use the unique Epoke metering system which forces salt out of the hopper consistently and evenly. These gritters are the best and most accurate spreaders available which are capable of spreading even wet lumpy salt. The Bunce Epoke salt spreaders are built to last and we often supply spares for some of the towed spreaders which are over 20 years old. (Please note that many cheaper spreaders from other manufacturers are effectively only converted fertiliser spreaders and are not capable of spreading wet salt and are not built to last)

Our Bunce snowploughs are available in lengths from 1-6m and can be fitted onto any suitable vehicle. Most of our range is available with either a polymer or steel mouldboard. All our snowploughs can be fitted with high wear resistant replaceable safety wearing edges which are sprung so they retract when an obstacle is struck, thus reducing the possibility of injury to the driver or damage to the vehicle. (Please note many other cheaper snowploughs from other manufacturers do not have such systems which could be very dangerous).

The snowblowers and snowcutters include pedestrian operated units, attachments for use with tractors, loaders etc., and dedicated vehicle mounted units. We offer units manufactured by Bunce (Ashbury ) Ltd, Fresia, Fujii and Cerruti.

The Bunce sweepers we manufacture are mostly unsophisticated yet extremely robust, rotary brooms, and are available as PTO driven, hydraulically driven or auxiliary engine driven units. We have recently introduced the Bunce DirtPro ‘push broom’ sweeper which is a simple yet effective sweeping unit.
