Sustainable Use Directive requires targeted spraying
Vale Engineering’s specialist CDA division Riverlynx, produce a range of products which achieve targeted spraying with its range of proven CDA Handlances. The Riverlynx Eliminator and Eradicator Handlances incorporate a pump system rather than a less accurate gravity feed system. Mixing glyphosate chemical with Riverlynx’s Ecomark, as an alternative to premixed chemical further increases the appeal of the system through cost savings; vital in today’s economic climate. Riverlynx Ecomark is a scientifically developed biodegradable, water based carrier liquid. The total volume carried by the operator is only 7.5litres.
For mechanical weed control Vale’s market leading PKL spray system is the number one choice for Local Authorities and Contractors looking for efficient and accurate weed spraying covering kerb edges or pavements. The PKL Spraying System can be used to target active weed growth rather than blanket spraying which will lead to reduced environmental impact, potential ground water contamination and save money in the long run.
To activate the spray the operator is always in total control as a thumb switch turns on and off the pump when weeds are to be sprayed allowing both hands to be holding the handle bars. Very low drift nozzles on the left and right footrest can spray a 0.3m swath allowing spot spraying of kerbs. A front boom gives operators the option to spray 1.1m wide for fully over grown areas. The machine is balanced with a 70 litre baffled rear tank and a 22 litre clean water front tank.
The PKL system is to be used in conjunction with an integrated approach to weed control and is available for hire or purchase complete with ATV this season from Vale Engineering (York) Ltd.
