McMurtry’s two radio controlled mowers address slope risks.

Whenever anyone considers mowing sloping ground it is important that they recognise and assess any risks associated with the task. There are obvious risks that include slipping and falling with resultant injury when operating pedestrian controlled machinery and machine sliding and rollover when riding on a mower. The extent and consequence of an accident will vary depending on many factors including the degree of slope, roughness of terrain and the prevailing weather and ground conditions but they can range from as little as a scare to a much more serious injury.

McMurtry Ltd have recently developed and launched two commercial grade radio controlled mowers to aid operators in working safely within such challenging environments. Available in two sizes the RC-01 (13hp) and the RC-02 (19hp) mowers are both petrol / electric hybrid rotary mowers with rubber track drive. Both mowers benefit from a low centre of gravity and utilise McMurtry’s proprietary radio control system ensuring advance stability with user friendly robust control.

Operators can now mow knowing that they have minimised the risk of severe injury associated with maintaining slopes with conventional machines as well as benefiting from reduced user noise exposure and zero vibration.
