Versatility is the key from Ransomes Jacobsen
One of the major issues with dedicated ride-on mowers is their lack of versatility; once a mower, always a mower. With this in mind, Ransomes Jacobsen has introduced a range of snow blades and brushes that can be attached to their popular Ransomes HR300 out-front rotary mower for winter snow clearing.
The Ransomes HR300 is an out-front rotary mower with a choice of three cutting decks with widths of 1.52m, 1.6m and 1.83m. A powerful 33hp Kubota turbo-charged diesel engine, with proven reliability, provides an economical and quiet power plant with enough muscle to get the job done. With a transport speed of 25 km/h it’s almost 40% faster than most other out-front rotaries. The deck flips up to an almost vertical position for blade changing and routine maintenance.
However, when the cutting season is over and winter approaches the cutting deck can be easily removed and replaced with a bespoke snowblade or power brush. Both can be mounted to the existing lift arms in a matter of minutes, the only addition required is an auxiliary hydraulic kit to move the blade or brush from right to left.
Similarly, with the Iseki SXG and TXG range of compact tractor mowers, there is a selection of snow clearing accessories which include snow blade, front-mounted brush and a rear-mounted salt spreader. These compact mowers are highly manoeuvrable and can fit on most pavements making them ideal for clearing pedestrian areas.
Moving up the Iseki mower range, the two dedicated out-front rotaries, SF310 and SF370, have similar easy-fit accessories and the compact tractors ranges – TM, TH and TG – all have snow blade, brush and spreader accessories for winter operations. Spreader capacity on the TM and TH range is 120 litres, while the larger TG range is 250 litres.
