In recognition of the continued growth of the commercial landscaping and groundcare market globally, Husqvarna is introducing new specialist teams in all countries with advanced commercial markets. Kevin Ashmore Commercial Landscaping & Groundcare manager heads up the enhanced UK team of commercial and technical support specialists who together will focus on developing business in this key market sector.

The Husqvarna professional battery series combines zero emissions with lightweight operation for demanding professionals. Delivering the same power, performance and reliability you would expect from Husqvarna petrol machines, these cordless machines operate with re-chargeable Li-ion batteries.

Battery power provides a number of different benefits to the user. Low noise levels, an emission free working environment, low vibration levels and optimised ergonomics all help to make a more enjoyable working experience. You can now enjoy up to 35 minutes of continuous operation on a single charge from the powerful Li-ion battery. Our savE™ energy saving mode optimises run time and lets you get the most out of every charge.

The T536LiXP and the 536LiXP are two lightweight, high-performance Husqvarna battery powered chainsaws. The T536LiXP is a professional arborist only, top handle machine with a high chain speed and petrol performance. Features include a flip-up tank cap and a second belt eyelet making it quick and easy to connect the saw to a climbing harness, a simple to operate, intuitive keypad and an effective inertia-activated chain brake. The 536LiXP back handle version is ideal for commercial use, agriculture and utility applications. A powerful brushless motor delivers superb petrol performance and a maximum chain speed of 20m/s, which is reduced to 15m/s in savE™ mode to prolong battery runtime in less demanding conditions.

The 536LiL and 536LiR are commercial grass trimmers from the Husqvarna battery series. These machines are low-weight, high performance with powerful brushless motors for heavy duty commercial use as well as agriculture, horticulture and utility applications. Two way rotation means the rotational direction of the trimmer head can be changed at the push of a button, directing grass away from walkways or out of bunkers on a golf course. The two machines differ as the 536LiL features a loop handle in contrast to the 536LiR’s bike handle. The latter also comes with a Balance 35B harness for improved comfort and ergonomics.

The BLi 110, 36V / 3,0Ah Li-Ion battery is interchangeable between all Husqvarna battery products, meaning you can switch from your chainsaw to your trimmer quickly and with ease. Recommended with the BLi 110 battery is the QC 330, 330W / 100 to 240 V rated quick charger to get the best results in the shortest time.

New for 2014

The Husqvarna back pack battery models BLi 520X and BLi 940X are for those who want to work all day without the need to recharge. Your battery chainsaw, trimmer and hedge trimmer can all be powered by the back pack batteries making these a versatile all-day worker. Perfect ergonomics are supplied through the adjustable height/pivoting hip belt and shoulder harness. Connection to the machine is through a specially weighted adapter to ensure machine balance so that when in use with the back pack it is not affected. The adapter also features a battery status indicator.

The Husqvarna BLi 520X and BLi 940X are both high performance 36V Li-Ion batteries. The BLi 520X has energy of 520Wh, a battery capacity of 14,4 Ah and a charging time of 130min (with QC 330) with the weight being 5.9 kg. If all day operation is what you need the BLi 940X boasts an energy of 940, a 26,1 Ah battery capacity, a 235min charging time (with QC330) and weighs 6.7kg.

Husqvarna in addition to the BLi520X and BLi940X back pack batteries launches the new high capacity 4.2 ah BLi50 integrated battery. The BLi150 gives 40% more run time yet with the same weight as the current BLi 110 (3.0 Ah) battery. Husqvarna now offer the complete battery solution with both integrated and back pack options to suit and job.

Also new for 2014 is the Husqvarna 536Li HD60X professional battery hedge trimmer. This model features a pivoting rear handle and petrol equivalent performance. The 536Li HD60X can be powered by either the new BLi150 (4.2 Ah) integrated battery or either of the new back pack batteries. A high torque motor and 4000 1/min blade speed gives excellent cutting performance. The 536Li HD60X has a cutting length of 60cm and a tooth opening of 30mm.
