Husqvarna improves successful range

Improving upon their already impressive range of professional and consumer chainsaws, Husqvarna continues to develop more advanced and user-friendly machines into the market. Both battery and petrol powered machines are covered, ensuring the needs of all chainsaw users are catered for.

The light, efficient and emission-free 536LiXP and the first battery-powered arborist chainsaw; the T536LiXP are the latest machines in Husqvarna’s battery series. Our belief is that performance wise, battery powered chainsaws can finally challenge their petrol counterparts. Both are powered by a 36 volt Lithium Ion battery which allows the user to complete as much of their task on one battery charge as they would on one tank of petrol. The brushless motors are just as impressive, performing with 25% more efficiency than traditional two-brush motors and offering excellent levels of torque. Plus, no servicing is required with these machines. Each has a chain speed of 20m/s, giving a petrol-like user experience, but without the emissions and with lower vibration and noise. Additionally the unique savE mode allows the chain speed to be reduced to 15m/s to increase battery run time.

Petrol products however aren’t neglected, with three Husqvarna offerings in the form of the 2013 red dot design awards; ‘best of the best’ winning 550XP, the technologically advanced 560XP and the ultimate Husqvarna arborist saw; the T540XP. All are equipped with AutoTune, meaning no carburettor adjustments are needed to keep the chainsaw operating at an optimal level. When developing these chainsaws, ergonomics has been at the forefront. All have an outstanding power to weight ratio, with the 550XP being the lightest chainsaw in its class and the T540XP using a TechLite guide bar, which is 20% lighter than a standard guide bar, for optimum balance. The X-Torq technology prevalent in each of the new petrol chainsaws ensures lower fuel consumption, emissions and some of the most powerful chainsaw engines for their size to date.
