Once again Takeuchi have introduced a new model to their ever growing range of excavators from 1 to 14 tonnes this time with a new 8.5-tonne model.

Takeuchi have maintained a reputation for a new model every year and just recently the first TB285s have landed in the UK. TAKEUCHI have replaced their successful 7.5-tonne excavator with a NEW 8.5-tonne machine designed and built for the toughest groundworks and earthmoving.

At first look the new TB285 appears compact in size, it has a reduced tail swing compared to conventional machines in this weight class along with increased dig depth. Compact it might be yet the TB285 provides significant increases in power and breakout force averaging 10%.

The new styled cab has increased leg and foot room and provides a very comfortable, roomy and modern interior for operators, adjustable, air con and improved all-round visibility. Cab controls are well positioned with a wide choice of operating modes and auxiliary hydraulic settings to meet the variety of on-site attachments

The TB285 comes complete with a new turbocharged engine that develops more power and greater torque along with an all new, high performance hydraulic system with improved power, cycle times and fuel efficiency including new eco-mode.

Servicing remains a key feature across the Takeuchi range – and the TB285 continues in the tradition. Good ground level access across the machine along with improved component positions makes it easy for daily and routine service schedules. Built for tough sites hydraulic lines and hoses are repositioned for best protection, counterweight and steel wraparound adds to component protection.

Heavy duty dozer comes as standard with well protected cylinder ram guard. Improved track design includes tripe flange rollers and larger shafts and bearings all designed for reduced track maintenance and downtime
