Iseki compact tractors from Ransomes Jacobsen

Ransomes Jacobsen distributes the Japanese-built Iseki range of tractors in the UK with engines ranging from 16-47hp. Richard Tyrrell is the company’s Product Manager for factored products and comments,

“Our leading mid-range compact tractor is our TG series which includes the recently introduced TG5475, featuring a 4-cylinder, clean burn engine, a 50 litre fuel tank and 1,580kg lifting capacity. It’s available with folding ROPS or air conditioned cab and its major selling point is a servo-controlled, single pedal hydrostatic drive system, which allows the operator to adjust the speed and response of the controls to suit various applications.

“For example, using a front-end loader does not normally require high speed, but it does require speedy movements. The maximum speed can be reduced to low and the response level set to ‘Quick’. In conjunction with the shuttle control, this will allow rapid changes of direction while the tractor is manoeuvred. Similarly, if an aerator or similar implement is being used, then a maximum speed can be set and the electronic cruise control set to ensure that the implement is operated at a constant speed.

“The TG5470 IQ complements this latest addition and features an advanced transmission system with electro-hydraulic forward and reverse selection. Programmed to provide a selection of clutch engagement patterns, it selects the most suitable pattern depending on gear position and displays this visually on the instrument panel. It also allows the operator to select a gear by push button, whilst in motion, without depressing the clutch. Also switching from forward to reverse can be achieved in the same manner.

“The Iseki TH range has been refreshed recently and now features three new models in the range; the TH4295, TH4335 and TH4365. The TH4365 has a new, more powerful engine with higher horsepower and torque at comparatively low revolutions per minute, resulting in lower fuel consumption and reduced noise.

“Also a new hydrostat has been introduced with greater capacity and requiring up to 50% less effort when depressing the forward and reverse pedals, which helps reduce operator fatigue. The two-pedal layout with curved pads is easier and more comfortable to operate and the ISO-mounted flat operator platform reduces vibration adding to operator comfort.

“A new strengthened front axle has increased its lifting capability, now 1200kg, up from 875kg and the fuel tank capacity has increased to 35 litres for longer run times. The increased rake of the engine hood has improved forward visibility by 380mm when compared to the previous TH models. Roll-over protection (ROPS) is standard as are the mechanically actuated, sealed wet disc brakes.”
