We have seen the widespread disruption caused by extremely harsh winters which are becoming evermore prevalent throughout the UK. Severe weather conditions have caused widespread operational difficulties for transport networks, public services and local economies to the extent that the ensuing chaos following heavy snowfall during last November lasted well into the new-year.

This resulted in severe supply restrictions and huge price inflations in the industry!!! Waiting lists for salt were extensive, with prices varying on a daily basis. Restricted UK supply and excessive demand resulted in many customers being unable to purchase salt and thereby missing out on what is now considered excellent potential winter sales.

How better can we prepare ourselves this year to avoid this widespread disruption?

The main problem faced by anybody needing salt is that when it is most urgently required, prices will invariably be at a premium and availability may well be restricted. The only answer to avoid these difficulties is to order early!
