KTS forestry trailers from Ryetec offer customers a flexible solution for the safe handling and transport of timber using a standard agricultural tractor. The KTS forestry trailer is designed to operate both in woodland with rough undulating grounds and on public highways with equal ease, normally they are fitted with a crane which can both load and unload the trailer meaning one man and one tractor can travel to site, load transport and unload without the need for extra staff or loading equipment. KTS cranes can also be removed from the trailers and used independently for lifting and handling duties in wood yards or anywhere timber needs to be moved quickly, easily and safely.

With a choice of 4 different capacity trailers from 7 to 11 tons and 3 ranges of crane with lift capacities from 2.5 to 5 ton/metres and reaches from 5.3 to 7.5 metres there is a KTS forestry trailer and crane combination to suit most applications. ALL KTS trailers feature as standard a steering drawbar to aid manoeuvrability in closely planted woodland and floating tandem axles with heavy duty forestry tyres to cope with rough ground. Various options can be specified, from hydraulic or air brakes, extra support bolsters, longer and stronger chassis and sides to carry light brash, powered axles can be specified for the toughest conditions.

KTS cranes feature a unique top mounted main lifting ram, with 2 main advantages over the more common lower mounted ram which is more susceptible to damage from logs being loaded and thank to better geometry the KTS cranes lift capacity increases, rather than decreasing as conventional systems do . They can be also be fitted with telescopic extension arms, remote controls and even a winch for difficult to access areas.
