In the past thirty years, demand has grown for soft unpaved solutions that are more aesthetically pleasing than concrete and asphalt, but that can still be trafficked. It is now possible to construct walkways, service roads and car parks which are not only pleasing to the eye but can also be discreet, retain their appearance and continue to perform when other non-engineered alternatives are worn and unattractive.

TERRAM porous pavers are engineered to provide a permeable pavement surface for all types of traffic, from lightweight and occasional to regular usage for heavy goods, trucks and lorries. The plastic paving grids can be filled with a grass or retained gravel fill and allow full water penetration. They are suitable as source control for SUDS systems and areas where drainage is poor.

Bodpave®85 porous pavers are a strong interlocking 100% recycled cellular plastic grid system which provide a durable, safe and eco-friendly surface for regularly trafficked areas. Able to be installed with either a grass or gravel filled surface, BodPave®85 permeable pavers are manufactured in the UK from UV Stabilised 100% recycled HDPE. They are strong, chemically inert and non-toxic.

TERRAM’s grass reinforcement meshes can provide ground stabilisation for grassed areas that are required for vehicular access, either on a regular or occasional basis. Supplied on a roll and installed directly on to the grass, the meshes intertwine with mesh roots creating a strong interlocked base providing grass reinforcement whilst still allowing the grass to grow through to create a natural appearance.

Grassprotecta, a product in TERRAM’s reinforcement mesh range, is a polyethylene grid that is ideal for grassed surfaces that are prone to wear, resulting in a muddy surface, incapable of withstanding vehicular or pedestrian applications. The oscillated mesh structure has increased traction, which makes it 97% more resistant than standard straight oriented meshes.
