Multi-Generational, Family or community Inclusive are just the key outcomes most funders ask organisations to aim for when bidding for project funding in community spaces.

In addition to some of these obvious outcomes, the NHS state that due to our decreasingly active lifestyles and reliance on TV and Computer screens, the rate of heart disease and diabetes has become greater. But it’s not just youngsters who can be found sitting in-front of a screen all day. Millions of us are sat at desks working in-front of computers or relaxing in front of state of the art smart TV’s.

There are some great initiatives on the table to get the nation more active such as Sport England’s ‘This Girl Can’,  BBC’s ‘Get Inspired’ campaign and the Premium Sports Funding for Primary schools which has been extended to 2020. Again, Sport England’s Inspired facilities fund is still running to carry on the sporting legacy of the London Olympics 2012 fund amongst many others.
