A prestige stone driveway was created using 100mm rumbled magma granite setts that were securely jointed by pointing with GftK’s slurry applied, selfcompacting and non-staining, vdw 850 jointing mortar from NCC Streetscape.

This unique material is the ‘state-of-the-art’ and market leader in stone paving jointing today and was selected for this project by natural stone specialists, PDG Groundworks because it provides extremely strong and durable joint installations, especially for driveways and roads.

The vdw 850 jointing mortar is capable of accommodating frequent and heavy vehicle traffic loads and in service also prevents weed growth or boring Wet weather jointing for stone sett driveways READER ENQUIRY 39 READER ENQUIRY 40 insect infestations, plus it is resistant to de-icing salts, freeze thaw action and even to mechanical street sweepers. 

The vdw 850 jointing mortar also has additional advantages in application, because it can be applied in cold and wet weather, it is extremely fast to apply and then it hardens rapidly, allowing the customer to put the driveways back into service as soon as possible.
