Lely UK unveil new Toro utility vehicle

A new utility vehicle boasting higher levels of power, comfort and control, launched on the Lely - Partners in Turfcare stand.

The Toro Workman GTX, a turf and grounds crossover utility vehicle, has more power, improved steering, and an exclusive suspension and braking system, making it the most versatile, practical and comfortable in its class.

Lely’s national sales manager Jeff Anguige comments on the next generation of mid-duty utility vehicles: “The GTX is an exceptionally versatile and powerful machine, a host of additional features means the new model meets high power and performance standards, while also being incredibly comfortable to drive. And while more compact and lightweight, meaning it’s kind to turf, power hasn’t been substituted for a light tread; this machine has both.”

Available in petrol or electric versions, the adaptable Workman GTX features over 300 configuration options, including front and rear attachments, a flat bed and a four-seat option.

“This model is first in the range to offer the option to seat four, working as a personnel carrier as well as materials carrier, and does so without compromising on power, comfort or control,” says Jeff. “It’s a worthy addition to the range and really complements our existing line-up of Toro heavy-duty machines.”

The GTX joined a new and improved Workman MDX-D at the show. The trusted Workman MDX-D has undergone a makeover and now, thanks to a new carburetor and clutch calibration, has a two horsepower increase over the previous MDX. As well as being more powerful, upgraded suspension and steering means it’s even easier to operate, and an improved aesthetic including a new front bumper and textured hood means it looks better, too.

Both the GTX and MDX-D appeared alongside their heavyduty counterpart, the HDX-D. Completing the comprehensive line-up was the ProCore 648, a Toro favourite in the aeration range, the MultiPro 1750 sprayer, and popular ride-on mowers such as the Groundsmaster 4500-D and representing the pedestrian walk-behind range the Greensmaster 1600.
