Premium turf and reduced maintenance
Since launching the ProLine roller mowers, Wessex International has seen a rapid increase in demand for machines in various working widths. Incorporating all the benefits of the popular rigid deck units, the range has expanded to encompass the Tri-deck machines, the latest of which is the ProLine RMX-500 with a working width of 5m. In keeping with the rest of the family no electro-hydraulics are required to operate this premium cut mower, which teamed with a tractor from upwards of 70hp will give you high output mowing with reduced maintenance and reduced fuel consumption; and so an extensive saving in time and money. Its fast forward speeds and high blade tip speed are the secret, combined with no electric clutches. Independent wing control, operational with one wing lifted, and folding wings that can cut gradients from -30º to +30º while the middle deck remains on level ground, make these roller mowers ideal for councils and local authority contractors. Effectively, the wings ‘float’ independently across undulating grass sward to give as supreme a cut in parkland as they do on the flat of the sports field. Turf tyres feature for minimal ground compaction and independent suspension ensures smooth road travel. The rollers themselves have double taper roller bearings in all rollers which help to minimise servicing costs and overall, compared to cylinder equivalents, the cost-savings of the Wessex Tri-decks have become increasingly evident. The Wessex ProLine RMX-500 Tri-deck roller mower is simple to operate and the quality of cut it achieves is no less than its bigger brothers that come in 5.6m, 6.8m and 8.0m working widths.
