Blaney Agri’s hedge cutting range reaches new level

Blaney Agri are pleased to launch their newest Irish built hedge cutter at National Ploughing Championships and are delighted to showcase their range of re-engineered models, identified by their stylish new colour and graphics. The Blaney Agri Stand 412 was swarming with crowds looking at the new hedge cutters as well as Blaney’s latest feeding and bedding machinery.

Designed and manufactured in Ballymena, Co Antrim this year marks the 10th anniversary of the development of Power ShredderTM technology which is incorporated in the business end of the Blaney hedge cutters as well as the Blaney Power ShredderTM mowers and excavator heads. The Blaney R&D team have taken some unique approaches to ensure there is more power to the head for increased rotor speed, a better cut and finish with improved efficiency saving time and fuel. . The new Blaney hedge cutters are available in 4 series: Compact, Agri, Agri Pro and Contractor. Visitors to the Blaney stand were taken through the numerous features that make them so special.

The new model hedge trimmer making its debut appearance was the C650T, a Contractor series machine with telescopic reach. This machine is designed with contractors in mind and those with tough hedges to tackle. It has been engineered for strength with consideration given to high speed road travel. The enhanced frame allows it to carry the extra weight which comes with its 6.5m reach and increased oil capacity. The design team have spent considerable time and investment in developing a machine that reduces the wear often associated with longer reach machines, with special attention given to reducing the effect of the increased load and stress on moving pivots and bushes.

The telescopic boom is fitted with a unique guideway system to reduce hose damage. Sixteen guides help prevent wear over the years that is common in other telescopic trimmers. They encourage a free an uniform motion to reduce rubbing for longer life.

Blaney Agri can offer a choice of controls, which can be cleverly stored within the machine when not in use. Thanks to the controls not being exposed when in storage means that there is reduced corrosion on the switches.

Blaney Agri recognises oil condition to be key to the lifespan of the machine. Their clever design promotes natural cooling in the system, with the use of special fittings to reduce pressure points and flow restrictions. Lifetime maintenance costs are reduced as a result of painstaking development within the drive system for optimum oil conditioning and low friction circuits reducing heat generation during use. This also reduces tractor power input requirements with greater rotor output due to lower energy losses within the system.

For those who have special requirements and want a different combination of features, the Blaney hedge cutter is ideal since their efficient design and production techniques allow them to tailor machines in a lead time of a few weeks. Blaney as an independent manufacturer have no links to any other range and so have no restrictions in their design, giving them the ability to give experienced users exactly what they want.

Blaney have set out to design a range of impressive machines, and the verdict is that they haven’t disappointed. For those that need to see to believe, get in touch with the team at Blaney who can put you in touch with your local dealer.
