Bomford Turner reveals farmer friendly variable forward arm hedge cutter VFA
Bomford Turner Kestrel VFA – the company’s first small – midsized variable forward arm hedge cutter.
With a reach of 5m this machine gives access to the ever popular VFA range to the smaller tractor owner operator, and all the benefits of the Kestrels larger brother in the range – the Hawk VFA.
With a powerful 88 litre per minute cutting system producing 54hp at the cutting head, the Kestrel VFA will be a real winner with farmers and contractors alike. This system is the trusted gear system used throughout the current Kestrel range, and can run a variety of cutting attachments, in addition to the standard 1200 Pro Trim cutting head.
The significant advantages of the VFA arm system, is the ability to cut alongside the tractor cab, and drivers view through the side window. This eases the strain on the operator and seating position when being used for prolonged periods of time. The arm can travel up to 1.2m forward, and rearwards of 0.4m. The arm travel allows the cutting head to be place in behind the rear tractor wheel for use in confined areas.
Choices of controls ranging from conventional cable lever control – EPP proportional control ensures that every customer requirement is catered for, along with additional accessories such as warning arrows, and debris blowers. Standard features include hydraulic breakout, LED road lighting and 3 point stabilizer linkage kit.
Comments James Cuthbertson, Director of Sales & Marketing, “We’re delighted to unveil this immensely capable machine, especially to cover all areas of our customer base, from Farmers to Contractors.”
