Toro's new Groundsmaster 3400-D out-front rotary mower offers durability, performance and quality finish
New from Toro is the Groundsmaster 3400-D, a robust and high-performance out-front rotary mower that offers outstanding and reliable mowing perfect for both councils and contractors alike.
Toro says that the power and performance of the Groundsmaster 3400-D is second to none. Using an industry-proven Kubota 35.5hp four-cylinder diesel engine, it delivers the superb operation and quality of cut you’d expect from a Toro in even the most challenging of environments.
Today’s grounds professionals need to get the job done quickly and efficiently. So there are two sizes of cutting deck available; opt for the 183cm/72in deck over the standard 157cm/62in for extra productivity. A 15.5mph/25.5kmph transport speed coupled with a long wheel base guarantee stable and fast on-road transportation between sites for maximum efficiency. And to top it all off, there’s a 45.7ltrs/10gals fuel tank capable of fuelling eight hours of uninterrupted operation.
Toro realises that a key consideration for municipal groundsmen and landscape contractors is mounting and manoeuvring over kerbs. That’s why particular attention has been paid to the Groundsmaster 3400-D’s ability to climb even the steepest and trickiest of kerbs. High-specification tyres, superior tyre walls to prevent wheel-rim damage, great ground clearance levels and an advanced suspension system ensure this mower is tough enough to last – and is a comfortable ride, too.
And on that note, comfort also extends to a mechanical suspension seat and machine controls at your fingertips. An optional full-weather cab with choice of air-conditioning offers high levels of comfort for operators.
You can expect less downtime, too. That’s thanks to the Groundsmaster 3400-D’s large-opening engine cover, which allows maintenance engineers simple, easy and unrestricted access to all areas of the machine – even with the optional cab fitted. Access to the cutting chamber is equally straightforward, being via the 65-degree tilting deck. All this results in reduced workshop time and costs, and helps get machines back to work more quickly.
