State-of-the-art robocut delivers faster, safer and more efficient performance
Northumberlandia, the world’s largest ‘human landscape’ has been kept in trim by ROBOCUT - McConnel’s innovative new remote-control mower.
The stunning sculpture, created by world-renowned artist Charles Jencks, is more than 400 metres long and 40 metres tall – making it the perfect place to test out ROBOCUT’s all-terrain performance.
Every component within ROBOCUT has been specially positioned to ensure an extremely low-centre of gravity, and with high-grip tracks the machine can easily master slopes up to 55 degrees.
Working at speeds of up to 7km/h the machine can easily match the efforts of 25 men cutting by hand, and delivers a superb finish with a best-in-class 1.3 metre flailhead.
Manoeuvred by an intuitive, easy-to-use remote control, ROBOCUT dramatically improves safety by allowing an operator to work at a safe distance up to 150m away, while still maintaining precise control of the machine and its cutting functions.
ROBOCUT is driven by a 40hp Isuzu diesel engine and offers the perfect package of power, reliability and fuel-efficiency, enabling users to work quickly and effectively while keeping fuel costs down.
Key features include:
- The most powerful mainstream machine on the market
- Simple, straightforward control system can be mastered in minutes
- Light enough to carry on the back of a trailer making it perfect for mow and go jobs.
- Innovative self-cleaning system ejects dirt and debris from the radiator matrix – maximising performance and increasing fuel efficiency
- 1.3 metre flailhead is the widest in its class
- Exceptionally robust design made from super strength steel
McConnel General Manager Christian Davies said: “This exciting new machine protects the safety of employees working in challenging terrain, and allows customers to confidently tackle jobs that used to be difficult, time-consuming and dangerous.”
