Townscape has it covered!
Nottinghamshire-based Townscape Products Limited offers an extensive range of shelters and covered walkways in many different styles and configurations, recognising the diverse needs for protection from the elements in different communities. Modern campus-style facilities, incorporating dispersed buildings and open areas, require interconnecting covered walkways between buildings and the needs of the disabled community are recognised with the integration of appropriate DDA compliant features.
It also produces weather shades, smoking and ticket shelters as well as cycle and motorcycle storage shelters that are secure, lockable and with all-round visibility. The modern designs are extremely robust, suitable for any high-density populated area. They are mostly manufactured to client requirements from galvanised mild steel, stainless steel, anodised aluminium and hard or soft timbers. Standard units are available but in most cases Townscape shelters are manufactured to suit site dimensions. Bespoke canopies can be designed to suit the age and style of the building and presented to the client in a 3D visualisation.
Townscape’s designs are adaptable to suit any environment. The Wave and Curve Shelters with their stylish designed roofs incorporate vandal-resistant features including load bearing purlins and are assembled with anti-tamper high strength bolts. They have a multitude of uses including people waiting areas, covered walkways and all-weather play areas.
The Thorpe and Heron cycle shelters are supplied as single or double line structures providing overhead protection with access along the whole length of the unit. The stylish Skylark shelter, with its arched roof, is manufactured from tubular steel support legs splayed to support a SHS roof support frame.
Typically shelters are manufactured from heavy-duty box section framework which is either hot dip galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461 or zinc-plated to EN 12329-2000. If required a powder coating paint system is then applied to RAL or BS specification from a range of 20 standard colours or to the client’s own corporate specification.
