The Douro has been used to good effect on a major high street redevelopment scheme in sutton, which aims to reduce crime and improve the local infrastructure.

East Architecture worked together with Urbis to adapt the design of their Douro lantern to suit this particular project. Urbis also fitted the units with frameless flat glass protectors to provide a compact, clean shape.

Urbis supplied their twin optic Douro, equipped with 140W and 90W Cosmo lamps. This configuration delivers a clean white light, providing better facial recognition and also gives the Borough the option of switching off the 90W lamps during the quieter night time hours to reduce their energy consumption.”
