Following the successful launch of the panel van variant last year, Vauxhall Commercial Vehicles has expanded its New Movano range to include factory-built tippers and dropsides, which were launched recently at SALTEX.

The Movano tipper is available with generous payloads ranging from 802kg up to 1122kg at 3.5T GVW. Standard equipment includes a steel load floor, cab protection and lightweight aluminium side and tail boards. The tipper is operated via a high-speed tipping ram by a hand-held control on a wander lead. There is a choice of two different cargo bed lengths - 3.1m or 3.2m with a bed width of just over 2.0m. Some variants are even equipped with a large tool box mounted between the front of the body and the back of the cab.

The Movano dropside is available in four lengths that range between 3.2m and 4.45m, with payloads up to 2130kg. Standard features include aluminium side and tail boards and a resin-coated wooden load floor. The sides and rear posts are removable on both dropside and tipper, allowing the vehicle to be operated as a flat bed.

Both Movano tipper and dropside feature Scattolini bodies and are available as Single or Crew Cab, 3.5T or 4.5T GVW, and in either front wheel drive or rear wheel drive. The new generation of 2.3 CDTI four-cylinder common-rail diesel engines ensures powerful low-speed torque, lively performance as well as high fuel consumption and low emissions.
