Makita’s expansive hedge trimmer range includes powerful petrol engine double sided blade machines for grounds care contractors; mains powered electric machines and Lithium-ion cordless trimmers with 36v, 18v or 14.4volt versions. Electric models, and particularly cordless machines are ideal for use where low noise levels are required such as in the grounds of hospitals, schools or parks. The Makita HTB7600 hedge trimmer has a 76cm double action blade that will cut 10mm branches powered by a 28.3cc engine. The rear handle swivels 90° in either direction for ease of control. The BUH523 is powered by an 18v quick recharge Li-ion battery with 520mm blade length that will run up to 1,350 strokes per minute and cut through 15mm material. The latest DUH551Z cordless trimmer is supplied as body only and is powered with two 18v batteries to achieve 36 volt power for those owners who already have a stock of Makita 18v batteries for their other Makita tools. This 36v machine will run up to 1,800spm, cut 18mm material with a 55cm bar length and weighs just 5kg.
